In times of trouble, the best communities pull together, and Cheyenne has proven it’s the best of the best. We’ve been impressed to see some fellow local businesses stepping forward to fulfill a need outside their normal function.  


Distillers and brewers across the state, including Chronicles Distilling and Pine Bluffs Distilling here in southeast Wyoming, have temporarily switched production from whiskey and vodka to hand sanitizer, a product in short supply around the country. Wyoming distilleries have produced hundreds of gallons of FDA-approved hand sanitizers specifically for Wyoming’s front line workers and first responders.



Also in Cheyenne, Alliance Brew Gear makes cold brew coffee filters in their clean room, and when COVID-19 found its way to our borders, they knew they had to shift their focus from launching their brand to helping their community – and beyond! They are providing mask frames and straps (3D or laser printing design and instructions on thingiverse.com), along with coffee filters and instructions for their use, to coffee shops throughout Cheyenne. (Researchers say that adding a filter to homemade face masks may offer extra protection to the wearer.)


Thanks to these businesses and everyone stepping up to support our communities in all the ways they can.

RISMedia's Power Broker Report & Survey is based on an online survey of residential real estate brokerages in the U.S., conducted by RISMedia. The survey ranks brokerages by closed sales volume and transaction sides in 2019. Brokerages must have had an individual, shareholder or entity with a minimum 50.1 percent ownership interest, inclusive of subsidiaries, complete the survey, and have had their submissions verified by the associated broker and accountant, CFO or other party who can validate the accuracy of the data submitted. To be eligible for the 2020 survey, brokerages must have completed a minimum of $150 million in residential sales volume in 2019. There is no cost or obligation to participate in the Annual Power Broker Report & Survey.

Community Focused Retail Complex Under Construction

Construction has started on the site formerly occupied by the Cole Shopping Center located at Pershing Boulevard and Converse Avenue. Anchored by Blue Federal Credit Union’s World Headquarters, the site will also be home to the Shops at Blue HQ, a community focused revitalization that will include retail and restaurant amenities for the Cheyenne community as well as Blue Federal Credit Union employees working at the complex. Greg Roeder of Waypoint Real Estate and Teri Cassidy of #1 Properties will represent the Landlord, Blue Federal Credit Union (Blue FCU), in the marketing of the available suites, with anticipated shell completion in the summer of 2020 and tenant’s opening by early fall.  The Shops at Blue HQ will offer suites ranging in size from 1,329 to 5,404 square feet. Blue will open a branch location within the strip retail center to support their broad membership in Cheyenne.

Blue FCU will occupy a 75,000 SF of office space in the headquarters building adjacent to the Shops at Blue HQ.  The headquarters project will be home for 170 initial employees and will house up to 300 of their key operational employees over the coming years. The project will also include a large community room that may be used for community and non-profit events. The Shops at Blue HQ will boast a community centered feel, including a large common element community outdoor space that will complement the retail shops. Blue FCU believes the project will bring revitalization to the aged retail center in Cheyenne by reinventing the sense of community that will bring families and businesses together.
